Shattered Glass

A mother asked her child to go out for some quality time.
The child refused as for he wanted to play with his friends instead.
Rushing off to the neighbors, he left the mother behind.
His mother instead prepared dinner, something her child truly wants.
The child arrived home. Mother welcomed him with a hug as he stood still.
He says "Mom, I'm full. I ate in my bud's house."
Disappointed, his mother puts away the meal.
The next day, the child came with a terrible fever.
He was burning hot.
The mother took a day off and catered to his every need.
She felt such deep pity for her child, praying that the sickness would just transfer to her.
The next day, the child was well.
But, the mother was ill.
So cold, she waited for his son to awake so she could use the blanket.
His son was up and she quickly used the blanket.
Mother said: "Son, please get me some water"
Son said:"C'mon mom, it's on the side table. You can get it"
Then he rushed to his friends.
Mother was alone again.
Trying to reach the water, the mother forced herself.
Reaching out her hands. She was unable to reach the water.
After a few hours, the son arrived.
"Mom, have you fixed dinner yet?"
He went to her room.
She was motionless lying on the floor along with the shattered glass.
